After graduating from the New York Fashion Academy (in Ballard, WA) I taught there for 3 years, gaining valuable experience in custom fit, draping, flat pattern making and personal slopers. I feel best when I can give a student, or client, a pattern or skill that enhances body confidence and gives new perspective on how we clothe ourselves.
Since then I have done freelance pattern work, custom bridal, costumes, wardrobes, alterations, evening wear to quirky custom menswear. I am grateful for the eclectic clients and experience I have! While I have a line of knit dresses that have been keeping me busy, I continue to have (mostly) rad women support me by believing in me and letting me do their wardrobes and special pieces.
The last few years have been prolific for me in terms of my artistic creativity. I used to mostly use fashion and jewelry design for this, but I cannot stop watercoloring, doodling, and taking pictures these days. I hope to transition some of this passion and love for these mediums into my career as well.
Hope to chat with you soon!
